In Memory of Our Companions and Friends

Ciara was our beautiful girl. A wonderful companion, who always had a smile on her face. Everything was always ‘sunny' in Ciara's world, she saw the joy in everything. Ciara introduced us to the world of obedience, and then to agility. She enjoyed it all, but what she loved best was just being able to hang out with her big brother Argus and visit people! Ciara was a kind, gentle spirit and is never far from our thoughts.

Our Rottweiler Ambassador
The most adorable puppy entered our lives on December 12, 1990 and we were in love! Argus loved everyone, but always had a special place in his heart for little children and babies. Argus changed a lot of people's opinion of Rottweilers! A better friend we will never have. Argus touched our lives in a way that we can never put into words. There's not a day that goes by that he is not thought of. Argus will live in our hearts always. Fondly remembered and forever missed.

Sprint
A memorial for a “UNIQUE” little Border Collie….”SPRINT”
Owner: Darr Houssen

If I could live the last 12 ½ years over again with Sprint”, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment. Everyone in our dog community knew she had a couple of issues especially me. But when you have a “problem child” and are persistent at working through those rough and challenging times, I honestly think you become even more attached to that being.
She was an amazing and brilliant dog, capable of doing much more than her limited handler could teach her. We laughed, cried, pouted and rejoiced together through the many, many agility trials and flyball tournaments over her 12 ½ year existence. Always giving me 150% of herself to get the job done. She was a true athlete in my eyes and a great companion. As long as she could be working without being touched by anyone except Jim or me, she was happy. I miss her terribly and will for a long time, but life goes on and thankfully, so do our memories.
“Always in my heart and never far from my mind dear Sprint, I will train, trial, compete and “go on” in our favorite sports with your brothers and sisters until the day comes when I have to stop. Until then, know that you are missed and never ever forgotten”. Darr

“NEENA”

What a joy it has been for me to handle this little sweetheart of an Australian Shepherd for the last 20 months. Just 2 months away from her 2nd birthday, on May 17th, her very serious heart murmur took her tiny life away from her and broke my heart right along with it. In the middle of a play session with one of her brothers and sisters, she gasped, dropped to the ground and was gone, instantly.

We had started flyball and agility training and the short workout sessions didn’t seem to effect her, but the extended playtime did. For that, I have to forgive myself. We always had fun and she always wanted more, but Mom thought she knew best, except this time. So sorry my sweet Neena.

Forever in my heart and memory, I will think of you very often Neena.
